We met all of the needs of our target audience, as it attracted them due to our opening having a scary plot and relating to our target audience, this is shown in our interviews with our target audience below. This is evident due to our target audience research, in which our target audience specifically enjoy horror films with a scary plot, and one that follows horror conventions. I interviewed 3 teenagers, 2 male teenagers and 1 female who where from the ages of 16 - 17, that enjoy the concept of scary slasher films, they also fit the description of my target audience, who are mainstream teenagers that want to have a good time, this is shown in my audience profile (located below) , therefore I asked them how my opening sequence attracted them, and it mirrored all the things said in my target audience research.
Questions asked:
What was the most appealing about our opening sequence?
What attracted you the most about our opening sequence?
What do you think about our use of props?
What do you think about our location settings?
What do you think about our storyline?
I also asked one male member of my secondary target audience who is 26, as our film also appeals to a wide variety of audiences, especially 25 + young adults, as they are the second group of people that watch horror slasher films the most. Plus the young adults could find our film appealing as they're more mature and understand the consequences of the dangers of being inappropriate, however they still enjoy the concept of our film and relate to it, making it attractive towards them also.
